In the field of medical education, it’s often said that most program administrators enter their roles with little to no prior understanding of the complexities involved. For many, it takes nearly a full academic year to truly grasp the cyclical responsibilities and nuances of their position.
Despite medical education having been around for over a century, it’s only in recent decades that Program Administrators have begun to receive meaningful professional development. Yet, these administrators are the backbone of medical education programs. They are responsible for ensuring compliance, managing multi-million-dollar budgets, and directly influencing the success of their programs and their teaching institutions.
We wouldn’t send a clinician into the hospital without proper training and preparation. So, why do we expect our Program Administrators to navigate their roles without investing in their development?
Program Directors, GME Leaders, and other staff are often tasked with training new Program Administrators- but who has time to explain the “why” behind policies, procedures, and best practices?
That’s where we come in. Our 7-week online training program is designed to immerse early careerist and new administrators in the history, evolution, and current landscape of medical education. Through a blend of on-line lectures, readings, and case studies, participants will explore both the best practices and challenges of medical education compliance.

Partnering with our organization allows us to collaborate with you in identifying local universities and colleges near your GME teaching site, where we can enroll future participants in our online training program, helping to build a robust pipeline for your Sponsoring Institution/Program. There are no fees or obligations to partner with us, and our partners receive exclusive discount rates on additional paid services. Partnerships are free for accredited teaching sites. Moonlighting Administrator Program
Are you anticipating an administrator going on leave or retiring soon, and need support covering their responsibilities until the position is filled or they return?
